Since I am doing a lot of reviews myself lately, I am putting this up as a reminder. I am also trying (without much luck, so far) to get my readers to review my novel. They tell ME how much it affected them and how they loved the characters (especially the protagonist). They say they loved all the plot twists.
But despite all this great feedback, I can’t seem to get them to write the review!
One friend even offered to interview me. Since she doesn’t write articles for any newspaper or magazine, I told her the best thing she could do is write a short (2-3 sent.) review. She said she would try!
I suspect most people don’t write reviews because they think they have to look back at the book, take notes and write a long, thought-out review. I have learned to just write a few sentences about what I remember about HOW I FELT about the characters and the plot. Short is also better because the reviewer doesn’t want to give too much away.
So go on your merry way and remember: A very short review is waaay better than NO review! 😉 ❤
Peace,
Sherrie
